Amanda, Amanda… how do we begin to sing your praises?
Where there was exasperation, Amanda restored hope. Our only regret in choosing Amanda was that our experience was over too soon. In our short time together (and that’s a real testament to the speed at which she just gets things done), personal growth and professional insights came thick and fast. Finding your perfect home is one thing, but the manner in which you find it is another entirely. We doff our hats to the house hunting phenomenon that is Amanda. We were novices to the auction process so when we found our dream home, we immediately engaged Amanda to represent us. At the auction, and the days preceding, Amanda’s experience, knowledge and insight proved invaluable. She influenced the outcome and negotiated the sales price to our advantage. It was far from the stressful experience that we’d seen so many of our friends go through.

Amanda was fantastic and took all the stress out of buying an apartment. Leonie and I had been considering purchase of an apartment in Sydney for some time however being located on the Gold Coast presented enormous logistical difficulties and although the internet provides an effective tool, it is no match for a foot soldier. On a few occasions whilst in Sydney we inspected a number of properties advertised on the Internet or in the print media. In most cases this was a complete waste of time for us. Results ranged from unable to locate the property to the descriptions being purely the optimistic imaginings of real estate agents with mortgages requiring a sale at any cost. Poetic licence knows few bounds in that industry. Of greater concern was the licence used when gauging pricing. A basic course in mathematics and reality should be part of the real estate licence course. Your initial assessments of properties without inspection, and factual review of those inspected meant we were always progressing. Greatly appreciated and so invaluable to us was your availability at short notice and to schedule worthwhile inspections back to back when we visited Sydney. In a short time we had worked out true value and could target those that were truly worthwhile. Although unsuccessful at the one auction we attended with you bidding on our behalf, it gave me a clearer mind not to have to both think and bid. Given both tasks I may just have extended myself beyond value. Thus there are no regrets. We really did not expect to locate a suitable apartment so quickly however that’s now one less thing I have to think about. The apartment we purchased ticked most of the boxes and of course it’s unrealistic to expect ‘the lot’. In essence we are delighted. The Sydney market is not for the faint hearted and I’m sure there are many stressed, disappointed potential buyers around. Thank you again. And you’re not a bad driver either!! A week later we purchased the very first house Amanda knocked on! Amanda negotiated a great price for us, as the owner had no costs they too were happy. We were deliriously happy and still are! Without Amanda on our side we would undoubtedly still be looking, spending our weekends with the masses, bidding for properties that could go for $200k over reserve at auction. Our only regret is that we didn’t employ Amanda sooner. She is a fantastic buyers’ agent and not only has happy customers, but customers who value her hard work, determination and warm personality. After a quick conversation, we met their request to extend the settlement, matched the other offer and the vendor signed the contract. We went from viewing the house to a signed contract in just over 24 hours! Without Amanda, we would have paid more for our house, or worse still missed out again. Easily worth the fee many times over. But even after the contract was signed, Amanda made sure that everything went smoothly with the settlement and moving in. It’s the value add that really made it an extra special and extra personal experience. We are in our new home now and couldn’t be happier. If you are considering using a buyers’ agent, do it. You won’t regret it.
